Setting up Fresh Flow

  • 1. Rinse it once

    Bowl, top and spout, under the tap. New steel can carry a little dust from the box.

  • 2. Fill it up

    Tap water is fine. The lit window on the front shows the level; keep it well above the bottom so the pump never runs dry.

  • 3. Plug it in

    It comes with a US plug. The water starts moving right away.

  • 4. Leave the old bowl out

    For the first week. Most dogs and cats switch on their own once they hear the water.

Cleaning it

Once a week: empty the bowl, rinse the bowl, top and spout with a little dish soap, and give the pump a rinse under the tap; hair collects there. Dry the bowl before you refill. That one habit is what keeps a fountain running for years.
